More stuff from the weird project I worked on some years ago. (which for some reason I've been poking with a stick these last few weeks).
Today, horses (unfortunately) have widely reached the status of 'cuddly über-cute barbie animals strictly reserved for the girly types'. (I never saw horses this way, though, but mehh). But there was a time where horses were more like 'Ferraris'. Apart from being a crucial way of transport horses served as symbols of power and might. Comparable to cars today, I guess. Sorta. In the weird project I mentioned earlier the horses played a secondary, but quite important role. The best of horses were divided into three groups; GMS, RMS and KMS. The title GMS/RMS/KMS was then placed in front of the animal's name. Ex 'KMS Tegladorr' (lit. 'thunder cloud' in 'lannit', a made of language for the same project) The lathurese is named after a certain province ('Lathuril'  and thus the tradition was different. But this is irrelevant.I'll be quiet now. Promise =X .... No wait! I forgot to mention all this is made up. Names etc. are fictional. So are these horse breeds. In the 'real world' types could probably be compared like this: (GMS = thoroughbred/hotblood; RMS = lusitano/PRE; KMS = heavy-type PRE or light suffolk; lathurese = arab/teke kinda-type.) |

Woah! What a fantastic composition we have here, like an emulation of the pedigree side data, but with the Zoub-touch ;]
I McLove the design; it's so elegant and informative; the horses look splendid, those textures are eloquent as heck; pure genius.
I agree on the fact that horses are seen differently nowadays, even though there're still groups of people who do really treat them as ferraris, especially among the hypic circles, who treat them better than they treat their families, heh.
For me, personally, horses are still emblems of power and pride; when I have to make clinical checkups on them, it's like being in front of a magnifiscent being worth of the best attention possible.
But I agree on the fact that for most people, cars stole the picture. Nonetheless, to the hell with them; Horses shall always be paradigms of might to us >=3
Okay, kind-of-a-lot of rant for today, heh

Ferraris, cars in general, are machines. Horses are living creatures and should be treated as such. I totally agree on the way you see them
I just don't see horses as cute barbie-beasts, that's all

Whoah, dramatic...! I know a girl who got part of her finger chewed off by a horse. I've only tried getting trod on, but that can hurt like a b*tch too
And yes, I still adore horses. It's odd indeed
